Tidal Track: Tide Times & Temp

Privacy policy

Effective September 22, 2026

This policy explains how Avocado Toast Co. handles information in the Tidal Track: Tide Times & Temp iOS app (Tidal Track), and when you visit this policy page or contact us.

Your saved stations stay on your device. Tidal Track stores the tide and water-temperature stations you mark as favorites locally. The app requests public tide and temperature information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and uses Google advertising services, which process certain device and advertising information. You can use the app without creating an account.

1. Saved stations and app information

Tidal Track stores favorite station identifiers, station names, app settings, and the status of the remove-ads purchase locally on your device. We do not operate an account system for Tidal Track, and the app does not upload your saved favorites to an Avocado Toast Co. server. We cannot access or delete those local favorites remotely.

Your device may include app data in an iCloud or computer backup depending on your Apple settings. Apple manages those backups under its own terms and privacy practices. Tidal Track does not request access to your device's GPS location, contacts, microphone, camera, or photos.

2. NOAA tide and temperature information

When you search for stations or view tide predictions and water temperatures, Tidal Track sends the requested station, date range, or search information to NOAA's public web services. As with a typical internet request, NOAA and network providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, request time, device or connection information, and the requested URL. NOAA controls its own systems and handling practices. Tidal Track uses the returned information to provide the feature you requested.

3. Advertising and consent information

Tidal Track uses Google AdMob to display advertisements and Google's User Messaging Platform to manage applicable advertising privacy choices. Depending on your choices, device settings, region, and the ads served, Google and advertising partners may process IP addresses and approximate location inferred from them; device, app, and advertising identifiers; ad views and interactions; and crash, diagnostic, and performance information. They use this information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and maintain and improve their services.

Consent services process and store information needed to determine which privacy messages to display and remember your decisions. Where required, advertising requests are made only after the consent service permits them. Apple's advertising identifier is available for tracking only when you grant the relevant iOS permission.

Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Where a consent message lists advertising partners, you can review their identities and choices in that message.

4. Your advertising choices

When required for your region, Tidal Track provides an in-app Privacy options control that lets you reopen available advertising privacy choices and update or withdraw consent. To change Apple's tracking permission, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining tracking permission does not prevent you from using Tidal Track; ads that do not rely on tracking may still appear.

Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to opt out of processing for targeted advertising or activities described as the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable law. Use the available Privacy options to exercise advertising opt-outs, or contact us for help. We do not sell the favorite-station information stored locally on your device. Changing a choice applies going forward and does not undo processing that occurred before that change.

Older app versions may not include all of these in-app controls. Update to a version that provides Privacy options when available, use Apple's tracking controls, or contact us for assistance.

5. Purchases

Tidal Track may offer an in-app purchase that removes advertisements. Apple processes the transaction through the App Store. We do not receive your complete payment-card information. Apple may provide the app with transaction and entitlement information needed to complete or restore the purchase. Apple's handling of purchase information is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.

6. Analytics, reports, and service providers

The current app configuration keeps standalone Firebase Analytics collection disabled. Google's advertising and consent services may still process the advertising, operational, and diagnostic information described above. Earlier app versions may use different SDK versions or settings.

We receive advertising reports from Google, such as earnings and ad-performance summaries. We use service providers to host this page and operate our services. Cloudflare, our website hosting provider, may process request information such as IP address, browser details, request time, and requested URL to deliver and secure the website. This policy page does not add an advertising or analytics script. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

7. Information you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use that information to respond, troubleshoot, and maintain a record of the request. Avoid sending sensitive information unless it is needed for your request.

8. Retention, deletion, and security

Local favorites and settings remain in the app's storage until you remove them or that storage is removed. Deleting the app through iOS removes its local app data; merely offloading the app may retain it. Backups can retain separate copies and can restore information later, so manage those copies through your Apple backup settings. We cannot delete information remotely from your device or Apple backups.

We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to address the request, maintain service records, or meet applicable obligations. Google, advertising partners, Apple, NOAA, and Cloudflare have their own retention practices for information they process. You may contact those providers or use their privacy controls as appropriate.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Privacy rights and international processing

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us using the address below. We may need information to verify and respond to a request, and some rights are subject to exceptions. You may use an authorized agent where applicable.

Where a legal basis is required, we rely on consent for processing that requires it, on providing the service you request for necessary app or support functions, and on legitimate interests such as service security where permitted. Service providers may process information outside your country, subject to the safeguards and practices described in their privacy policies.

10. Children

Tidal Track is a general-audience tide and weather information tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the app, its providers, or applicable requirements. The effective date above identifies the latest revision. For privacy questions or requests, contact Avocado Toast Co. at avocadotoastco@gmail.com.
